We shall remember them

These photographs were taken outside a Surrey school on Rememberance Day 2016. On the stone are inscribed the names of former students of the school who fought and died in the first world war, which many hoped would  end all wars.

Read the names and imagine these sons,  brothers, husbands and  fathers  whose lives were cut off.

Today,  children still attend that school.  Their education is free for them, but not cheap in taxpayers costs. Similarly,  the freedom the nation  enjoys  cost people difficult decisions and the high price of  lives.

Photographs taken with a Samsung Note 7.
